Overland Power Perfected: Why Antigravity’s Deep Cycle Lithium Battery is a Game Changer
When it comes to overlanding, reliable power is everything. Whether you're running a fridge, charging electronics, or powering lights, you need a battery that won't let you down. That's why we rely on Antigravity Batteries for our overland builds—and why we're proud to offer their deep cycle lithium batteries at RAD Supply Co.
We've put these batteries through their paces on multiple overlanding trips, and they've consistently delivered outstanding performance. Here's everything you need to know about why Antigravity's deep cycle lithium batteries are a game changer for overlanders.
Why Lithium over AGM?
Traditional AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries have been the standard for auxiliary power in overlanding rigs for years. But lithium batteries, particularly those from Antigravity, offer significant advantages:
- Weight savings: Lithium batteries are significantly lighter than AGM—up to 60% lighter in some cases. Every pound counts when you're off-road.
- More usable capacity: Unlike AGM batteries, which should only be discharged to 50% to maintain longevity, lithium batteries can be safely discharged to nearly 100% of their capacity.
- Faster charging: Lithium batteries charge faster and more efficiently than AGM, meaning less time waiting and more time exploring.
- Longer lifespan: Antigravity's lithium batteries are built to last, with a significantly longer cycle life than traditional AGM batteries.
- Built-in BMS: Antigravity batteries come with a built-in Battery Management System (BMS) that protects against overcharging, over-discharging, and short circuits.
Antigravity DC-200H Lithium Deep Cycle Battery
Our go-to battery for larger builds is the Antigravity DC-200H. This powerhouse provides an impressive 200Ah of capacity, making it ideal for rigs with high power demands. Here's what makes it stand out:
- 200Ah capacity: Plenty of power for extended trips without shore power or solar.
- Lightweight design: At just 54 lbs, it's significantly lighter than comparable AGM batteries.
- Built-in BMS: Ensures safe operation and extends battery life.
- Bluetooth monitoring: Keep tabs on your battery's status directly from your phone.
- Versatile mounting: Can be mounted in any orientation, giving you flexibility in your build.

Antigravity DC-100 V1 Lithium Deep Cycle Battery
For builds with more moderate power needs, the Antigravity DC-100 V1 is an excellent choice. It offers:
- 100Ah capacity: Perfect for weekend warriors and those with lighter power demands.
- Ultra-lightweight: Weighing in at just 27 lbs, it's one of the lightest 100Ah batteries available.
- Built-in BMS: Same protection as the larger DC-200H.
- Drop-in replacement: Fits in the same space as most standard batteries.

Our Experience on the Trail
We've been running Antigravity lithium batteries in our overland builds for over a year now, and the difference compared to our old AGM setup is night and day. We're running a dual battery setup with the DC-200H as our primary auxiliary battery, and it handles everything we throw at it—fridge, lighting, phone charging, and even a small inverter for our laptop—without breaking a sweat.
The Bluetooth monitoring feature has been particularly useful. Being able to check our battery status from our phones without having to crawl under the hood has saved us more than once from an unexpected power drain.
