Madico: The Ultimate Protection for Our Overland Adventures

When it comes to overlanding, our vehicles take a serious beating — rock chips, harsh sun, tight trails, and unpredictable terrain. Protecting our Bronco Raptor was a priority from day one, which is why we turned to Madico for our paint protection film and window tint needs.

Why Madico?

Madico has been manufacturing window film and protective films for over 100 years, which gives them a depth of material science knowledge that newer brands simply can't match. Their films are used in automotive, architectural, and aerospace applications — which tells you something about the quality standards they're held to.

  • Paint protection film (PPF): Self-healing urethane film that absorbs rock chips, scratches, and trail debris without transferring damage to the paint beneath
  • Ceramic window tint: Rejects heat and UV without interfering with electronic signals — critical for vehicles with GPS, TPMS, and other radio systems
  • Clarity: Madico's films don't yellow or haze over time, maintaining optical clarity for years
  • Durability: Their automotive films are designed for long-term use in harsh environments

What We Had Done

We had Madico PPF applied to the front bumper, hood leading edge, fender flares, door cups, and rocker panels on our Bronco Raptor — the areas that take the most abuse on the trail. We also had their ceramic tint applied to all windows for heat rejection and UV protection.

After multiple desert and mountain trips, the PPF has absorbed countless rock chips that would have been paint damage without it. On close inspection, you can see the film doing its job — small surface marks that haven't penetrated through. The self-healing properties handle minor scratches with a warm water rinse.

Final Verdict

Paint protection is one of those investments that protects another investment. For a Bronco Raptor or any serious off-road build, Madico PPF and ceramic tint are well worth the upfront cost versus the alternative of repainting panels or replacing damaged glass.
